With recent innovations in AI and simulation, educators’ ability to create virtual patients who can engage in natural-language conversation has dramatically expanded. With the newest tools, it is even within reach of one-person teams, if that one person has the right mindset and knows the right techniques for building these simulated patients.

Sketchy has been hard at work making virtual patients ourselves, and we’d like to start a conversation about it. In this session, we’ll discuss general principles for creating AI patients and some of the lessons learned by Sketchy in developing our simulated-patient platform, DDx.
